How do you stop a toddler from picking scabs from eczema?
I don’t understand why bathing her would cause breakouts. You do need to use lukewarm water, if you are using it any hotter, it will irritate it. Aveeno now has a new eczema care line, maybe try the body wash. I understand why she scratches when she gets hot or dirty, heat and dirt irritates it. My eczema is not as bad as hers sounds, and the Aveeno lotions I’ve used worked, so I can’t offer any other idea. I would assume that you’ve taken the laundry soap into account, but on the chance that you haven’t, use liquid laundry detergent with no color and no fragrance, if I use any with any scent, I itch like crazy, with no eczema showing. Has your doc tried steroid creams or lotions? I don’t know anything about if they will use it on little kids, but it is a lifesaver for me. I use clobetasol propionate, I just get the generic, but if you want the kind with the emollient, you’d have to get the name brand, which is Temovate.
