• Determine why this kid is hurting animals. Sometimes, kids don’t understand how to handle animals properly. Is this an accident or is it malicious intent? • Determine your role in the situation. As a parent, it’s your duty to prevent this from happening and educate your child. As a peer or bystander, it’s your duty to contact someone who can help such as the parents, or even authorities in certain situations. • Document all evidence of animal abuse. If your cellphone has video functions, record abuse for later evidence.
