So you are thinking about going to college after 5 or more years after high school/GED graduation? Here are some things that you might want to have available to you for admissions. In order to start the admissions process at any college/university besides filling out the application, you must obtain a copy of your high school transcript. You can do this by email/calling your board of education in the area that you graduated. You will have to request a copy of this transcript be directly sent to your college of choice as any copy sent to you is considered “unofficial.” A GED transcript can be request thru your the state education department.
