How Do You Start An RC Nitro Engine?
Nitro engines used in remote controlled (RC) vehicles are internal combustion engines that burn a blend of nitro methane, methanol and oil. These engines generate immense power (sometimes up to 3 horsepower) and run at high revolutions, often exceeding 30,000 rpms. Nitro engines come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes and are made by numerous manufacturers. The basic procedure to start them up, however, is the same regardless of model and size. Turn on your transmitter. This will ensure that the vehicle does not run away from you if it starts prematurely and begins to move. Check that you have fully charged batteries in both the receiver and the transmitter. Fill your tank with fuel. Using your fuel bottle, fill your vehicle’s fuel tank and securely close the fuel tank.
