Taking a few clippings from a friend or neighbor’s gardenia plant will allow you too easily root your own. By following these simple steps you can start your own gardenia plants, and fill your home and garden with the refreshing scent and presence of gardenia. Blend a half-and-half potting soil and peat moss mixture together in a container using your hands to ensure it has been mixed thoroughly, and set the container aside. You can purchase potting soil and peat moss at your local garden specialty store. Remove any leaves three to four inches from the end of the gardenia plant clippings. If not completed already, cut the ends of the gardenia clippings at an angle. This will help promote rooting. Dip the end
