A freshwater fish aquarium ca be a low maintenance and inexpensive way to own a pet and enhance your decor. There are a large variety of shapes and sizes available. Choose an aquarium and stand that will fit the desired space and will blend nicely with the decor. Measure the space before purchasing to be sure it will fit when you bring the aquarium home. Tank size will depend on how many fish you plan to have. A good rule to follow is one fish per one gallon of water. LOCATION: Choose a location away from direct sunlight, away from heat and air conditioning vents, and close to an electrical outlet.
