How Do You Start A Family Prayer Time?
Lots of families make a point of going to church together every week, and would like to pray together every day as a family, but have a hard time keeping the habit going. It will be easier to pray together daily as a family if you follow these simple tips: Don’t announce to the family that “from now on we are going to prayer together every day.” That’s too much pressure. Start by just casually saying something like, “Did you hear about that family whose house burned down? Let’s just take a moment to pray for them.” Do this on a regular basis. Try to the aware of the needs of people you know in your community, as well as people around the world who need prayer. If you have young children, they will soon begin suggesting friends to pray for. Try to do this consistently during a certain part of your family’s daily routine.
