This is not difficult, and in a few easy steps, you can add beauty and luster to the most industrial-looking concrete floors. Scrub the floor with water and detergent or a trisodium phosphate cleanser, which can be found at home improvement stores. Mop thoroughly to remove any debris and allow to dry. Apply a concrete stain prep, allowing it to soak into the floor for 10 to 30 minutes, but don’t allow it to dry. Apply more as needed. After the concrete stain prep has soaked, scrub the floor again, rinsing all of the prep off with fresh water. Apply the acid stain to the concrete with a sprayer.
