How Do You Stain Concrete Two Different Colors?
Concrete floors, walls and patios are convenient in many cases, but can be unsightly if left plain. Stain concrete in spaces where appearance is important to add color. Adding color allows you to be creative and to enliven and completely transform a space that has a concrete floor or structure. Use more than one color to create geometric patterns or make mottled textures. Concrete stains come in a wide array of colors, from natural to bright. Plan patterns on paper first, then transfer that pattern to the structure with painter’s tape. Clean the concrete with a mild, biodegradable etching cleaner if it is not a new structure. Spray or pour the cleaner onto the concrete and allow it to sit for a few minutes while the etching agents work. Rinse with water. Water will neutralize the etching agents.
