Stained or painted concrete floors serve as an alternative to additional flooring materials and can provide a solution for unsightly stains. Stain and paint can be used on the garage floor, patio or driveway, or on the floors of the rooms of your home. In order to produce a smooth surface, concrete floors must be cleaned and prepared thoroughly, through chemical stripping or sanding, to remove any particles, nails or glue. Holes and cracks should be patched and allowed to thoroughly dry before starting to stain or paint the floor. Concrete sealer protects the color and design. Line baseboards, walls and anything which should not be stained with blue painter’s tape, attaching plastic wrap. Secure the extended edge to the wall with painter’s tape. Paint the edges and corners of the floor with stain, using a paint brush. Fill the garden sprayer with stain, and spray the main surface of the floor. Use the broom as a large paintbrush to spread the stain. Let dry according to manufacturer’s
