How Do You Spray Paint A Chandelier?
Whether your chandelier is old or just needs a new look, spray paint can turn it into a classy fixture or a conversation starter. Remove the chandelier following manufacturer’s instructions. Make sure to turn off the breaker to the light before removing. Remove any glass or accessories you don’t want to paint before taking outside. Place chandelier in garage or outside (if not windy) and set on a drop cloth or pile of newspaper. Cover light bulb connection with tape or leave any burnt-out light bulbs in. Arrange chandelier for best spray paint coverage. Check instructions on spray paint. If the chandelier needs to be primed or sanded before application, do so. With old clothes and mask on, start spray painting chandelier with even strokes so no paint running will occur. Apply an even first coat then let dry for 30 minutes – 1 hour.
