How Do You Split A Tea Leaf In A Flower Arrangement?
Large split tea leaves add interest and texture to any flower arrangement. It takes a little bit of practice to learn how to split tea leaves for a flower arrangement without ripping through the leaf and having to start over with a new one. Here are a few tips to help you learn how to split tea leaves and add them to your next flower arrangement. Place your fingers in the middle of the tea leaf. You want your fingers to be on the bottom and your thumbs to be on top of the leaf, up against the spine. Tear the leaf. Holding the spine firmly with one hand, begin tearing the side of the leaf with your other hand. Continue splitting the tea leaf until you reach the bottom of the stem. Once you reach the bottom, go to the place in the leaf where you first began tearing and continue tearing until you reach near the end of the leaf, but not all the way to the end. Repeat Step One through Step Three on the other side of the tea leaf.
