How Do You Spend Spring Break In Daytona Beach, Florida?
Known primarily for its auto racing, Daytona Beach has become a spring break haven for sun-loving college students throughout the Southeast. Drive directly to Daytona or fly into Orlando, where Daytona is a short hopper flight or drive west. Wear little besides a bathing suit and sunscreen (sometimes you might skip the former). Search out MTV and other news crews that are more than willing to broadcast exhibitionist behavior. Cruise the strip along the beach at night for the hottest bars; they fluctuate in popularity from year to year. Skydive, parasail, water-ski and frolic in the warm Atlantic. Detour to Disney World just outside Orlando to experience the various theme parks. Keep a sharp eye out for the elusive sand alligator, a little-known species that lies under large beach towels.
