How do you speed up the tank cycling process for saltwater aquariums?

If you have a running filter on another healthy tank, move it over to the new tank and use it to start the cycling process with a couple of cheaper fish you can pickup. The bacteria you want is already thriving in the old filter so don’t waste this valuable commodity that you already have available. You can put the new filter on the established aquarium to build up your filter bacteria and if you want transfer it over to the new tank later. If you don’t have another filter, you’ll need to start from scratch. Using cheaper fish is an excellent way to establish your tank. I usually a Damsel or a Butterfly variety. This a suggestion to avoid costly loss. By the way, how big a tank are you using? I always keep a tank on the side that I use for building up bacteria for starting a new tank with a sponge filter to use in case I want to start a new one..
