How Do You Speak And Give A GOOD Presentation?
Public speaking is something that a large percentage of the population seems to struggle with. It may be something as simple as answering a question in front of a classroom of college students, or teaching a Sunday school lesson. Whatever the mission, there are a few guidelines to a good presenter. If you are entering a setting to speak in front of an audience with prior knowledge then the most important first step is to BE PREPARED! Study the material that you plan to share with your audience. KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE! You should know if you are going to be talking to an all male group, or perhaps a group of elderly people. If you are speaking to a group of 7 year old children about seat belt safety, chances are you aren’t going to show them horrible bloody pictures of real life car wrecks. It is important to present appropriate material to the appropriate audience. EYE CONTACT! One of my pet peeves about people who cannot present well is the lack of eye contact they give the audience.
