How Do You Soothe A Colic Baby?
Colic is very common in babies. It is when a baby who is healthy cries for more than three hours a day, more than three days a week, for more than three weeks. Doctor’s define this as a “Rule of Three”. It usually starts when the baby is at least three weeks old and it may last until he or she is six months old. Colic can occur at anytime during the day, but it usually gets worse in the late afternoon or in the early evening. It can be very stressful and frustrating for parents. Here are some tips to help you soothe your colic baby. Make an appointment with your baby’s Pediatrician so he or she can examine your baby to make sure it’s colic and not something serious. Try burping your baby more often during feedings. Try walking with your baby around the house. Hold your baby with your tummy against your tummy.
