How Do You Solve Problem Of Heels Not Touching When In First Position For Ballet?

0

I’ve been dancing for 12 years, and I’m fifteen. I’m a pre-professional dancer, which means i spend about 17 hours a week in classes, and am planning on taking dance professionally when i’m out of high school. Even after my 12 years of training, my heels don’t touch in first position. As annoying as I know it is, it’s not a problem that can be fixed. The reason is just that your body is built differently and no matter what you do your heels won’t touch in first. Also, forcing your turnout will do nothing but injure your knees, make you stand with incorrect alignment, and help you build bad habits. As terrible and annoying as this issue is, try to remember that it’s not your fault, and that the chances of it having any affect on your actual performance isn’t very likely.
