Need help with algebra? Learning math isn’t easy for everyone, but in this tutorial you’ll see how easy it is to learn how to solve basic algebra equations. To help with algebra and improve your algebra skills, you first need to understand the parts of an equation. Equations consist of Constants, Variables and Coefficients. CONSTANTS are numbers whose values remain the same; VARIABLES are the unknown values designated with a letter (typically “x”); a COEFFICIENT is the number that the variable is being multiplied by (2x). ISOLATE THE VARIABLE: In order to solve an algebra problem, the first thing you need to do is to get the variable alone so that you can find the value of the variable or “solve for x”. KEEP IT BALANCED: And always remember: whatever you do to one side of the equation, you must do to the other.
