Laying shelf paper is harder than it looks, particularly when you’re trying to apply large pieces or apply it in places that are hard to reach. If you lay enough shelf paper, you’re bound to botch an application and create a wrinkle here or there. But when it happens, don’t worry. You can soften up the glue, slide the paper into place and forget all about it. All you need is a clothes iron and some other common household items. Make sure that you can use your iron to smooth out the entire wrinkled area. Find the closest electrical outlet, plug in the iron and see if it can reach. If it can’t, use an extension cord to give yourself the reach you need. Turn the iron on and set it to a low setting. Allow it to warm up fully. Soak a dish cloth in cool water while the iron is warming. Wring out the excess water and lay the dish cloth out flat over the wrinkled portion of shelf paper. Iron the spot through the cloth. Every minute or so, peel back the cloth and feel the shelf paper to see if
