How Do You Sleep Worry-Free Using Guatemalan Trouble Dolls?

0

Trouble dolls, also known as worry dolls, come from Guatemala. These tiny (about 1 inch long) dolls are typically dressed in Guatemalan fabric. They are often sold in groups of six, with a pouch or small box. Traditionally used to help children relinquish worries at bedtime, adults too may find this an easy way to help get to sleep. In bed, right before you want to go to sleep, remove the trouble dolls from their box or pouch and place in the palm of your hand. Pick up a trouble doll, and assign the doll one of your worries. Put the doll in it’s box or pouch. Repeat with each doll. Place the box or pouch on your night stand or somewhere nearby, even under your pillow if you’d like. While you sleep, legend has it that the trouble dolls will take care of your worries, and may even provide insight during your dreams. Enjoy your worry-free sleep!
