Skate park ramps are a way to keep young people from skating in dangerous areas such as sidewalks, parking lots and the street. Once you have learned the basics of skateboarding, you are ready to move on to skate park ramps. Start with the smallest ramp at the park. Once you master the small one, you can move on to the larger ones. Skateboarding is too dangerous of a sport to go down the large ramp when you have never been down one before. Get used to the ramp by skating up to it and going about halfway up before turning and coming down. Make sure you are comfortable with 180-degree turns before doing this.
