Hunting is a great sport around the country. Wild game and birds abound and hunters venture out every season to see if they can kill their prey. Some hunters use bow and arrow or black powder but most use rifles and shotguns. There are many types of shotguns available, single shot, double barreled and semi-automatics. There are a few tricks to shooting a double barreled shotgun. Press the lever that breaks open the breech of the shotgun. This will let everyone close by know that the gun is safe and inoperable. With the breech open, you now have access to load the gun with two shells, one in each barrel. Close the breech by bending the stock and barrel back into a straight line. This closes the breech and loads the shells into the barrels ready to fire. There is a safety on the shotgun. When not getting ready to shoot, keep the safety on.
