Brick floors have a lot of advantages. They are long-lasting, give a room a natural and attractive appearance, and give you the option of creating different designs on your floor. Although brick floors are not easily damaged, they do tend to collect dirt rather quickly. Dirt easily collects on a brick floor because brick is porous and can absorb grime. You can often shine a brick floor by cleaning and buffing it. At other times a new coat of wax is required. Clean the entire floor with a broom and vacuum. Create a solution of one part of vinegar for 15 parts of water. Dip a mop into the solution and scrub the entire floor. Remove any water as you go along with towels or rags. Standing water will spot the brick. Apply the solution a second time for floors that are really dirty or dull. Dry the floor completely again. Buff the floor with a cloth to make it shine.
