Prepare a working surface with sufficient lighting for cleaning and sharpening your saw. Clean the area of dust, dirt or other debris. Fill the basin or other water container with hot water and add generous amounts of citrus oil soap until the liquid is full of soapsuds. Place the dull saw blade in the basin and let soak for 15 to 30 minutes to loosen any oils and resins trapped between the blade teeth.
