Soothing eye pillows are used by massage and bodywork practitioners, those who use visualization and guided imagery techniques for relaxation and by headache sufferers. Eye pillows are often made from silk or satin fabrics, yet cottons are a viable option and come in a wide array of colors and patterns. Filling materials may consist of grains or flax seed to provide weight. They may also contain the herb, lavender, to impart a relaxing scent when eye pillows are used for sleep, massage or relaxation. Measure and cut material to 8″ by 9 1/2″. This allows eye pillows to have an approximate finished length of 8 1/2″ and width of 3 1/2″ with 5/8″ seams on 3 sides.
