With a little sewing skill, anyone can sew and hem his own well-fitting pants, simply using an old pair as a pattern. Take an old pair of well-fitting pants you no longer wear. Lay the pants out flat on your work surface and cut the waistband and fly pieces off right on the seam lines. Turn the pants inside out and cut the center back seam open, all the way up to the fly opening.
