You can make your own steering wheel cover from an old pair of jeans. It only takes a few minutes to complete. After you finish the directions, you can personalize the denim, if you like, with embroidery or with fabric paints. Measure the circumference of your steering wheel. Add an inch to this measurement for the seam allowance. Cut a piece of denim from the leg of the old jeans. This piece of fabric must measure the length you determined in Step 1 and should be 7 ½ inches wide. Make two pieces of elastic. Each piece needs to be 13 inches long.
