One of the best features of Xbox Live is the ability to use a microphone to chat with friends who are also using the service. Setting up a headset with microphone is fairly straightforward, and once you have everything all set up you will be able to chat over Xbox live, as well as play microphone enabled games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Step 1 Purchase an official Xbox 360 or Xbox 360-compatible headset. These are sold at electronics and video game retailers.
