How Do You Setup A Home Theater System?
Home theater systems are a common element found in a number of homes. They allow you to create the same quality of audio and video found in movie theaters. A home theater system consists of a high quality, big screen television set (HD preferred), a DVD or Blu-ray disc player, a home theater receiver, a subwoofer and at least four speakers (two front and two surround sound or rear speakers). All of these must be arranged properly to experience a true “theater-like” showing. Place the television on or next to a wall in the center. Connect the player to the television using HD cables (RCA that has three [red, blue and green] video cables and two [red and white] audio cables) or a HDMI (high-definition multimedia interface) cable. Connect the home theater receiver to the A/V (audio/video) output on the television. Connect it to the DVD or Blu-ray, if the television does not have an A/V out on it. Use either RCA or fiber optic cables to do this. Position the channel speaker centered below
