How Do You Set Up Drum Stands?
Drumming is a complex thing to do. Not only are drummers required to move all four limbs of their body in different rhythmic patterns simultaneously, but their equipment is by far the most complicated to carry around and set up. Fortunately, with the right knowledge and a little practice, you can be setting up your gear on stage within 10 minutes. For each cymbal stand, unscrew the screw toward the bottom of the stand until it becomes loose, but not so much that it comes out. This should allow the tripod of legs to move. Push down on the tripod of legs to spread them out until you get the stand to the approximate height that you’re comfortable with. Screw the screw back in to tighten the legs and secure the position of the stand. Loosen the nut near the top of the stands to allow the elbow of the stand to bend up and down.
