If you want to share your connection with another computer in your home you will need a home network. (If not, skip to Step 3.) • Choose between a wired or wireless home network. • If necessary, install a networking device. Most modern computers come with one already installed. If yours does not you will need to install a networking card to the motherboard as follows: • Shut down the computer. • Open the tower case and find the right slot for the card to plug into. • Install a networking card to the motherboard of the computer. • Turn on the computer and the computer will identify the card. The computer will then install the required items for the internet. Note: In Windows XP wait until you see a notification balloon.
