How Do You Set Up A Wireless Network At Home?
If you have more than one computer in your home, you can set up a wireless network so that you can connect to the Internet using any computer. For example, let’s say you have a desktop at home and a laptop you use at work. By setting up a wireless network, you can connect to the internet on your laptop from anywhere in your home. Unplug the power to your modem. Locate the ethernet cable connecting your computer to your modem. Check out the back of your wireless router. Most routers have four ethernet (LAN) ports grouped together and a fifth one that is separated from the other four. Unplug the ethernet cable from your computer and plug into the separate fifth (WAN) port on the back of your router. Get your extra ethernet cable. Plug one end into one of the four LAN ports on your router and plug the other into your computer. Plug in the power to your modem and then plug in the power to your router.
