How Do You Set Up A Satellite TV Dish With A VCR?
The easiest way to send satellite programming from a satellite dish to the television is to connect the dish to the satellite receiver, then the receiver straight to your television. However, you can run your satellite system from the satellite receiver to the VCR and then to the television. This allows you to record satellite programming on your VCR, while still allowing you to watch satellite television live. If you want to set up satellite TV to run through your VCR, you can do so in about an hour. Run a coax cable from your satellite receiver to your VCR. One end of the coax connects to the “Output” connector on the satellite receiver. The other end of the coax cable connects to the “TV In” connector on your VCR. Put your television on “Channel 3” and flip the switch on the back of your television to “Channel 3.” This means the VCR signal will display on “Channel 3” on your TV. Press “Menu” on your satellite remote to access the main Menu. Click on “System Setup” and press “Enter”
