How Do You Set Up A Linksys Home Network?
A Linksys router is used to create a local area network, which routes traffic between computers on the network, as well as to and from the internet. A home network can be set up with a low-cost small office router, which can connect to up to four computers and network devices over Ethernet cabling, and possibly several more via a wireless connection. Shut down your computers, Linksys router and the modem for your incoming internet connection. Many modems, and the Linksys router, are powered down by removing the power cable from the back of the device. Connect an Ethernet cable from the internet port on the Linksys router to the Ethernet port on the modem for the incoming internet connection. This cable will be included in the Linksys box. (If you do not have broadband internet service, skip this step.) Connect an Ethernet cable from one of the four LAN ports on the Linksys router to your computer. Repeat this step for each computer or network device you wish to connect via Ethernet to
