How Do You Set Up A Goal Kick?
Goal kicks are awarded when an offensive player knocks the ball past the goal line and out of bounds. The defense then takes control of the ball, and tries to get it as far away from the goal as possible. Place the ball within the goal area, where a member of the defensive team will conduct the goal kick. Remain outside the penalty area, if you’re on the opposing team, until the ball is kicked into play. Kick the ball from the selected point. Keep in mind that the ball is in play when it’s kicked directly beyond the penalty area. If the ball isn’t kicked directly beyond the penalty area, the kicker tries the kick again. Avoid touching the ball a second time, if you’re the kicker, until the ball has been touched by another player.
