How Do You Set Up A Crossbow For Hunting?
A properly set up crossbow will have a stock, bow, sights, and quiver. All components should be securely attached and aligned. You will adjust your sights and alignment after target practice. The adjustment will be made while sighting in the crossbow and will ensure you are shooting strait. There are a variety of sights available on the market with the best being a matter of opinion. Many crossbow hunters use a scope, especially when shooting long distances. The benefit of the scope is the clear field of vision and easy alignment of the shot. Attach the slide to the middle cable on the bow. Align the bow with the stock and slide the bow onto the stock. The bow and the stock will be fit to slide smoothly together. If the two are not easy to slide into place the bow may be upside down. Insert the big bolt with lock washer in the hole at the head of the bow. Tighten the bolt as much as possible with the Allen wrench. Slide the foot stirrup into the pre-fit notches at the head of the bow.
