Chinese checkers has been played in some form by children and adults for thousands of years. The game has its own special board and playing pieces. Set up the board to play the game. Place the board within reach of all players. The Chinese checkers board features a playing surface designed as a 6-pointed star. Each point of the star is a triangle with 10 holes or depressions. Chinese checkers boards come in wood, metal and plastic. Decide how many players will join the game. Chinese checkers can be played by 2, 3, 4 or 6 players, and the way the board is set up is determined by the number of players. Assign board positions.
