How Do You Set Up A Chinese Checkers Board?
The game of Chinese checkers comes with specific instructions for how to set up the game board. The number of players (from two to six) determines the arrangement. Set-up is somewhat akin to regular checkers and fortunately much easier to learn than the starting positions for chess. Even small children can learn how to set up a Chinese checkers board within minutes. Choose one of the six available playing colors. All of your Chinese checkers pieces must match. Pick a point on the six-pointed star located on the game board. There is no tactical advantage in one point over another. It makes no difference which one you choose. Place one of your playing pieces in the outermost tip of the chosen point. Working toward the center of the board, continue adding pieces in each hole within the point until all 10 pieces have completely filled it in. If done correctly, the pieces will form an equilateral triangle. Allow the other players to select colors and points. A single opponent must set up he
