How Do You Set The Time Clock On A 2006 Yamaha R1?
Yamaha’s flagship super bike, the YZF-R1, has been one of the sport’s most easily recognized bikes since its debut in 1998. The fourth generation 2006 R1 continues the legacy, providing top level performance for street riders and racers. However, its speedometer and gauge setup, while providing a wealth of information, can often make setting the built-in clock a confusing ordeal. Luckily, setting the clock is incredibly simple once you know how to do it. Turn the ignition switch on and hold down the “RESET” and “SELECT” buttons simultaneously. Release the buttons when the hour digits begin to flash. Set the hours by pressing the “RESET” button. Once the correct hour has been set, press the “SELECT” button to continue. Set the minutes by pressing the “RESET” button. Once the minutes have been set, press the “SELECT” button to start the clock.
