You can use a squelch to block any signals you don’t want to receive on the Cobra 38cbX ST CB radio. However, you must first set it to prevent any noise from distorting incoming signals. Follow these instructions. Turn on the Cobra 38cbX ST CB radio. Turn up the volume past the point where you can comfortably listen. Turn the squelch knob clockwise. This will shut the gate and obstruct any signals. To attain the Desired Squelch Setting (DSS), turn the squelch knob counterclockwise until you hear noise.
