While it looks difficult, setting the Parental Lock is easy, if you follow the steps. Make sure the disc is not playing. Do this by pressing the “Stop” key. Choose “Setup” on the function menu. From this list choose “Playback Options.” Choose “Rating” at the next menu. After the rating has been chosen, put in a password. The default password is “7890.” On the “Set Rating Level” menu, choose “Change Password.” You will also need the “Set Rating Level” menu to put in a new password. Choose the rating level on the menu and select “Enter.” You have changed the Parental Lock.
