How Do You Set HP Function Keys?
If you’ve purchased an HP computer, it will have come with a special keyboard called the “Multimedia and Internet Keyboard.” This has additional keys not found on regular keyboards and is designed to make tasks like launching your web browser or checking your email as simple as pressing a button. You can also reassign the function of these special keys to perform any task that you’d like. Click “Start.” Click “Control Panel.” Open the “Keyboard Properties” utility that is built into your operating system. To do this, right click on the “Keyboard” icon and select “Open.” Click the gray window tab that is labeled “Buttons.” Double click on the listing for the HP Multimedia and Internet Keyboard key that you want to reassign. Pick a command to execute with that particular button using the “Choose a Button Capability” drop-down menu. Click “OK.” You have now reassigned the function on your specified HP Multimedia and Internet Keyboard key.
