How Do You Set Favorite Keys On A Microsoft 4000 Laser Keyboard?
Microsoft Keyboards, including the 4000 Laser, have a special set of “My Favorites” buttons that can be used to open applications or favorite websites with one keystroke. By default, these keys do not have any programs or web pages assigned to them. To customize the “Favorite” keys, you will need to use the Microsoft Keyboard application that you installed on your computer when you first hooked up your keyboard. Open the Microsoft Keyboard application. Select “All Programs” from the “Start” menu, then select “Microsoft Keyboard” from the “Microsoft Keyboard” menu item. Click on the “Key Settings” tab in the Microsoft Keyboard Window. Select the “Favorite” key you want to program and click the “Edit” button. Type the path to the application or website you want the button to launch when it is pressed.
