The Rio Karma MP3 player allows you to move beyond basic equalizer settings to optimize your portable listening experience. With customized equalizer settings you can adjust the center and width options. Follow these steps to learn how. Check your Rio Karma MP3 player to make sure the power is on. If the power is off, press the “Power” button and wait for the player to initialize. Make sure the EQ mode is set to 5-band parametric, which is necessary to change the custom equalizer settings. Go to the Main Menu by pressing the “Menu” button, located above the screen on the left side of the player. Selecting “Equalizer” from the menu will take you to the Equalizer menu. Highlight “EQ Setup” and press the Rio Stick in the center of the cluster of buttons on the upper right side of the player to select it. Use the rotary wheel on the right side of the player to adjust the center and width settings. Select “Done” when the settings are where you want them.
