Even an inexperienced person can set a ring setting with the proper tools and patience and have a beautiful piece of jewelry afterwards to show for it. Pick out the Ring setting and Stone you would like to set. Make sure the setting fits the stone exactly for easier setting. If you are not comfortable holding the setting in your hand, place the setting in the clamp for steadiness. Line up the stone with the setting. Make sure the stone is facing up and aligned in the direction you wish to view it when worn. Gently push the stone into the setting. If snug, use the pliers to push the prongs back a little evenly on each prong to accommodate the stone. Use the prong pusher to apply pressure on each prong against the stone.
