Setting up your own satellite dish will save money for those of you who are current customers. If you are not a new customer, you will be charged a fee for your dish and installation. As HDTV becomes more prevalent as a single source, and TVs are being sold supporting the high-definition format, current dish owners are finding that the equipment they purchased years ago will not bring in an HDTV signal. The older round dish will not work for your HDTV needs; you will need to purchase the oval dish with at least three LNBs (Low Noise Block converters). Inspect the area where you want to install the dish, and find a clear line of site to the southeastern sky.
