You hold the brick in one hand and knock the concrete off with a hammer. A chisel head hammer is best. Eye protection is a good idea, as chips go every which way. After that, a washing with muriatic acid can clean off small particles the hammer didn’t get. Muriatic is an industrial grade of hydrochloric. It’s a lot of work, but worth it as bricks have become quite expensive, and for some purposes used brick looks better.
