How Do You Send Software Through Gmail?

0

Often times, you may find a piece of shareware or other software you’d like to share with friends, unfortunately Gmail doesn’t allow you to send programs as attachments. This quick and easy guide will help you get you around that. • Find the file on your computer and make a copy of it. • Rename the new file, take out the “Copy of” from the beginning of the name, and at the end of the file, change the extension (example: mysoftware.exe – “.exe” is the extension) from whatever it is to “.jpg” • Attach this renamed file to your email. Instruct the recipient that they’ll need to rename the file again, once it arrives, and provide the original extension of the file, so it will run properly on their end.
