Using Windows Live Messenger is a great way to stay connected with old friends and make new friends. Not only can you send instant messages to your friends, but you can also send, play or save voice clips to and from your contacts. The following steps will show you how to send, save, or play a voice clip with Windows Live Messenger. Open Windows Live Messenger and open a conversation window by double clicking the contact you want to IM. To send a voice clip, attach a microphone to your computer and click and hold the “Voice Clip” button, which will appear in your conversation window. Press and hold the “F2” key on your keyboard. Speak into your microphone and release the “F2” key. A voice clip will appear in the Windows Live Messenger conversation window and play automatically. To play a voice clip in the Windows Live Messenger conversation window, click “Play/Stop,” which is under the voice clip. To save a voice clip from the Windows Live Messenger conversation window, click “Save As”
