How Do You Send Email Using Outlook Express?
Outlook Express is a popular email client that came bundled with Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP as well as Internet Explorer versions 4, 5 and 6. The program includes full email functionality, supporting standard email protocols such as POP3, SMTP and IMAP. Once you have your email account configured, it’s easy to compose and send emails using Outlook Express. Launch Outlook Express. Click “Create Mail,” located directly beneath the file menu. Enter the email address of the recipient in the text box labeled “To.” If the person is saved in your address book, click the book icon next to the “To” field and select the name from the list. Type the subject for your message in the box marked “Subject.” Enter the text of your email in the large text box beneath the text options. Select different font faces, sizes and colors for your text from the options provided in the drop-down menus. Click “Send” to send the email.
